Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not visit London this week to attend an event to honour the late Princess Diana in Kensington Palace, says a source for the ET.
The event, which will be led by Prince William, was originally scheduled to take place at the same time as the discovery of Diana's statue at Kensington Palace last July, in which Harry attended. However, because of the limitations of COVID-19, it had to be delayed and drastically reduced.
While Duke and Sussex Duchess will not be present, there will be some V IP, including Diane's friend Sir Elton John, members of the Spencer family and donors who helped finance the statue.
In July, Harry and William discovered their mother's statue together in the Garden Ended in Kensington Palace.
Harry's relationship with his family remains tense after he officially resigned as a senior member of the royal family earlier this year.
