This year's grain harvest, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Kosovo has covered 67 percent of the needs of citizens from 72 thousand hectares planted with wheat.
From the Ministry of Industry, Undertaking and Trade have clarified that despite raising the price of wheat, the state has reservations.
Even from the Kosovo Mills Association, they say there is enough wheat in the stocks, and citizens do not need fear.
But representatives of the Mills Association have said the state should ease measures and prices for basic products for farmers and have greater subsidies so that more grain can be produced.
According to this association before August 2nd, a ton of wheat imported from Serbia has cost 173 euros and 53 cents without VAT, while from November 27th one ton of wheat costs 259 euros and 40 cents without VAT. / RTK
