An official and citizen in Kamenice is sentenced: They caused damage to the forest of 20.512,89 Euros

Indictee S. The F. in the quality of the official person guarding the forest near the forest authority in the Kamenica municipality has not taken necessary action to secure forests, respectively, cut the timber mass in the 1st floor. 52, with a volume of 230.20 cubic metres, which has caused the authority to inflict material damage on the forest authority around 16.712.89 Euros.

With these actions, the accused has committed criminal acts misuse of official position or authority, the act sanctioned with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (KPRK).

And the accused K. L. By being authorized by the company “Mirvete Leci BI” in Camenica, for implementation and supervision of the works on site No. 52 in the village of Krileva, where the company in question has been in implementation of the contract, for work on this plot, the accused following the company's announcement that it cuts off further work in this plot has not acted on administrative direction No. 06/20 for the method and sale of forest logs and wood assortment from public forests. So after the suspension of works by the subject in question, unknown persons have so far been enabled to take the timber in the drive mentioned at 230.20 cubic metres, with which it has caused the forest authority material damage about 16,712.89 Euro.

With these actions, the accused has committed criminal acts the irresponsible economic activity, the act sanctioned with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (KPRK).

The trial panel of the Randa Crime Department, after hearing witnesses and discussing evidence, against accused S. F., has pronounced prison sentences of eight (eight) months and fines of 500 (five percent) Euros, while on accused K. L. fine penalty of 3,500 (three thousand and five hundred) Euro.

The sides have the right to appeal to this decision at the Court of Appeals.
