In an interview with journalist Chim Peka, Abdixhiku says they will accept a veto system in full co-ordination with the EU and the US.
When we've talked to the international community, we've always said not to do it like Albania. Reform in justice is now necessary. A child molester is sentenced to eight months in prison, violence against women and families goes unpunished for most, and as a miracle they have much of the servants of justice guaranteed in favor of them as they come to power.
We have basic problems with justice, but vetoing as a means of improving the system is necessary, but as a means of power to control this system against political opponents is impossible and unfair, we will not allow it. We will accept a veto system with full co-ordination with the EU and the US”, Abdixhiku said.
As far as the US stands for self-preservation in justice, Abdixhiku says the US still have no stance on this.
There's a crash between the EU and the government's proposal... There is no US position on this”, he added.
