According to preliminary results from the CEC, the tight race is under way in the Gjilan municipality, which is currently led by Lutfi Haziri of the LDK.
According to these results from 96% of the votes counted in this municipality, LVV's Alban Hyseni is moving by 44.48%, while behind him is LDK's Lutfi Haziri with 43.91%.
The difference between these two candidates is too small, with only 228 votes.
Hyseni and Haziri will once again have to seek the vote of citizens in the second round, expected to be held in a month.
In the event for assembly in this municipality, LVV has received 10,000 of 660 votes, or 28.92%, while the LDK has received 14 thousand and 499 votes, or 39.34%.
Unlike Gnjilan, 43 thousand 643 citizens voted from 101 thousand and 062 were eligible to vote.
