Images have been published from the moment Serbian barricades move vehicles after KFOR has arrived in the north.
The head of the northern Mitrovica municipality, Milan Radojevic, has also spoken of it, who has said that they have begun issuing a lane of roads so that KFOR can pass and deploy.
“... they began with the release of a lane so that KFOR units can pass and take over” position, Radojevic has declared.
According to Radojevic, following such an action, the special Kosovo Police Unit must begin withdrawing.
“You can see for yourself a large number of KFOR soldiers, we expect everything to go smoothly and in line with the agreement and without any problems”, Radojevic told Kosovo Online.
Otherwise, border checkpoints in Jarinje and Brnjak are expected to be opened today, which have been blocked since 20 September. About how the unblocking of these border crossings would take place, Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi has spoken.
According to Bislim, the KFOR unit will first be deployed there and then at 8:00 p.m., the transfer of the barricade and special police is expected to begin.
“Zhlock is set for tomorrow (Saturday, 2 October). Presequently, it takes KFOR units to deploy at border crossings and in co-operation with Kosovo Police Special Units to be informed of all the elements necessary to ensure the stability of border crossings and their security”, Bislimi has declared.
He says there is no sequence of which side should be pulled before the other, since the shift will take place simultaneously.
Then, after all these proceedings have been carried out, at 8: 00 p.m. it is pre-empted to begin the once-in-a-life shift of both the barricade and the special police, and with this completion. It means there are no sequences that one side has to be dragged forward, but the shift is done simultaneously. The only difference is that KFOR forces should be deployed several hours before the shift of the barricade and special units, and also, what's important to remind each time what it looks like is a source of deliberate misinterpretation, this has nothing to do with the position of border police and regular police. This arrangement does not affect them. They keep working. Their jobs and functions have not taken over special police units, they have had only the preservation of border and quiet points there”, Bislimi said of the REL.
Bislimi has said further that if deadlines are not respected, the agreement will be identified as worthless.
There is no tendency on our part to shift deadlines. What's important to say is that if deadlines are not respected, then the agreement is considered worthless and the side that shows non-co-operative will be the one that will be identified as the blocker of dialogue, but there is no reason, at least on the part of the police, to begin moving. Barricades is illegal. It can be withdrawn at any moment and only because it would facilitate work then by tomorrow, but otherwise by the special police units there is no reason, and there is no logic that the process will begin before logistically carrying everything to KFOR and before even the withdrawal of barricades or barricades”, he declared.
According to him, Kosovo is prepared for implementation of this agreement.
The deputy prime minister has indicated that Kosovo already has about 300 thousand stickers, which he says is enough to cover the six-month circulation.
Kosovo has been ready since. Kosovo has about 300 thousand stickers (v.j. If I say 300 thousand stickers, I'm thinking 300 thousand packages, because a package has four stickers, so much so that they need each car to cover the signs of citizenship and symbols. And that's enough to cover the six-month cross-border cycle. Even the interim agreement has a six-month deadline, so our side is fully prepared”, Bislim said.
These two border points are standing blocked by September 20th. On that day, the Kosovo government decided to implement reciprocity measures on license plates registered in Serbia.
Under the decision, Serbia's census vehicles should remove these plates at the entrance of Kosovo, and receive temporary license plates during the movement in Kosovo.
That move, Serbia implements the registered cars of the Republic of Kosovo now and for many years.
