These two border points were blocked by truckloads of gravel from local Serbs, in sign of reciprocity for Serbia's license plates imposed by the Kosovo government on September 20, 2021.
After more than 13 days of blocking these two border checkpoints were released, following the agreement reached in Brussels between the Kosovo and the Serb sides.
The implementation of the first point of this agreement began Saturday, envisioning the departure of Serb protesters, as well as the replacement of special units with KFOR troops at border points in the north.
As the second point, it will start applying from today (October 4th 2021), where the provisional implementation of the posters system with which both Kosovo and Serbia will cover each other's state-run license components will begin from today.
The third point envisions that 21 October will start working a team consisting of EU, Kosovo and Serbia officials to find a permanent solution.
Within six months, from the start of the first meeting, this working group will present the findings for a permanent solution to the high-level dialogue format.
