Minister Murati: The minimum wage will rise, may happen very soon or after a time

Finance, Labour and Transfers Minister Iron Murati has said the minimum wage will rise very quickly.

He said this is a government promise, but he didn't give a precise time when that would happen.

The minimum wage will increase, is one of the Government's promises. I can't give the timeline, it can happen very soon, it can happen even after a while, as it is a process that needs to be considered and processed”, Murati said at a conference for media after the Government meeting.

Kosovo's prime minister, at a meeting in the Union of Independent Unions, has said the minimum wage will be 280 euros.

Paying is required these days before price hikes for many basic products.

The minimum wage in Kosovo is currently 170 euros.
