Minister Bulnjak has informed the mayors of the current situation with the pandemic, and especially inter-institutional activities against this pandemic.
Minister Bunjaku said there have been meetings with the Group of Health Experts and representatives of the Community Institute of Public Health (IKSHP) to assess the situation and the resulting measures, as well as to accept the weekly report.
As for the vaccine, Geja-Bunjak reported that by now for ages over 16 years, 67.5% of the population with the first dose and 47.6% with the second dose have been vaccinated.
On the other hand, there is a decline and stabilisation of the situation with infection and spread with the pandemic virus COVID-19.
The overall assessment is for these measures to continue for the next two weeks, especially now that the school has started and we have the campaign for local elections on October 17th. Minister Bulnjak also asked the inspectors and police to enforce activities in implementing measures against this pandemic that are in force. At this meeting, the mayors and other municipal representatives present at this online meeting with the Ministry of Health also present the current challenges and needs that are in Kosovo municipalities with emphasis on the issues of vaccine and supply of health drugs”, the media report said.
On the other hand, the Kosovo Communists Association called for an October 18th (a day after the October 17th elections) no instruction will be held but the schools will be disinfected since voting and budgeted by the central level for municipalities since municipal means in services and goods are at small limits. And it was also required that in the outside environment, a gathering of up to 50 people who are functioning as well as remove masks when a person is just walking.
Also, the Mayors of the Communists were asked to see the possibility of taking off the curfew and to continue supplying municipalities with essential drugs.
