Miftaraj says the power has no right to publicly criticise justice institutions, while the Prosecutorial Council should not play the role of outrage. He added, however, there is no need to distance the Government or the Ministry for the declaration of Deputy Minister Blerim Sa God.
There are unfortunately two sides of the coin where both sides are acting wrong. The MD will need to understand that according to the Constitution, under the laws, the minister, the deputy minister, must distance himself from statements to the judicial system or the prosecutorial council. We understand that the prosecutorial system has systemic problems that require quick intervention. The IKD has uncovered scandals and scandals in the justice sector, but civil society has a mission to criticise both power and other institutions. The executive or legislative power has no right to publicly criticise justice institutions. This has not been brought by the IKD, but these are international practices Kosovo has taken over. The Prosecutorial Council has no right to play the role of outrage, to expect distance from the government or the ministry. However, there is no need to distance this statement from the Government or the Ministry because the independence of the Prosecutorial Council cannot be guarded by the minister, nor the deputy minister”, Miftaraj said in “D ESUK” of KTV.
