Sunday's meetings were held in response to the Supreme Court's decision, which said the main EU laws were <x0-> incompatible” with Poland's constitution.
Protests were held in 100 Polish towns, with 100,000 people participating only in Warsaw, the capital, accompanying Periscopi from the BBC.
The verdict has raised concerns that Poland may leave the European Union, but the government has denied those accusations.
Prime Minister Matthews Morawiecki has defended the decision, saying his party had no plans to call a referendum on Poloxit [the departure of the state from the EU]. /Periscope
