Kosovo police have indicated that the protest was pre-launched and that it ended in calm.
A media report says that from the beginning of the year until October 7, 2021, seven cases of burglary in residential objects have been reported by residents of the village of Mleqan. Three out of the seven reported cases have been uncovered, suspects have been arrested and the completed classes have been sent to the prosecutor. In two other cases possible perpetrators have been identified, but are currently on the run, while two other cases remain under investigation.
Referring to cases of theft and also to the demand of residents of Moleqan, the Malishev Police Station has increased the number of patrols, police presence, prevention activities and investigative activities, as well as co-operation with citizens of this area.
“We understand the frustration of individuals designated by such incidents, but we also assure residents of the village of Mleqan and the entire area that Kosovo police will take all necessary legal measures to prevent criminal acts, identify and arrest suspected persons and expose them to justice organs. We appeal to residents of the village of Mleqan and other settlements to co-operate with the Kosovo Police in any case or suspected persons”, the communique concludes.
