Lava scdals, destroys many homes in Spain

Lava from the Cumbre Vie volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma, which has erupted since September 19th, has destroyed more homes and buildings.

Early this week, two new openings triggered further explosions.

A local volcano expert has said that newly opened cracks have collapsed in part, causing mortars to flow in many directions, the Oranews reports.

Authorities have closed local airport for the second time since the volcano began to explode.
