A team of boxers representing Kosovo was on its way to Belgrade, where it had to participate in the World Amateur Boxing Championship, but has faced a non-normal situation at the border. The news has confirmed for itself the secretary general of the Boxing Federation in Kosovo, Latif Demolli, who has shown that Serbs have not let them cross the border.
Kurti says Serbia should show its strength in the ring, not at the border, as it has asked the international community to react to what has happened.
“Serbia should show its strength in the range of boxing not at the limit of”, he said.
Their decision not to allow our athletes' entry to the 2021 Boxing World Championship is a violation of international sports rates. I call on the EU and the international community to condemn this violation and discrimination action”, Albin Kurti added to the social Twitter network.
