Prime Minister Albin Kurti has hosted representatives of the Open Society Foundation (OSF), Deputy Chairman Alexander Soros, Executive Director of the OSF for Europe and Eurasia, Daniela Schwarzzer, OSF executive director in Kosovo Luan Sllaku, and OSF executive director in Albania Andy Dobrushi. Kurti referred to management of the COVID-19 pandemic and the population vaccination process, as well as economic growth that the Central Bank of Kosovo forecasts to reach 9.9 percent.
In this direction, the troop's contribution to economic growth and the importance of its involvement in the country's further development through the Essels Fund was stressed.
It was also discussed the importance of regional co-operation and the region's common goal of integration into the European Union.
The newest project of the Open Society Foundation in Kosovo was presented at the meeting, a collaboration with the “invest” college, aimed at promoting the green agenda through a centre that provides education for administration, for the private sector and civil society, as well as lectures and conversation on the most important topics for accruing green policies.
Special emphasis was on promoting even better governance, and Prime Minister Kurti addressed the importance of e-government and open data.
OSF representatives expressed great optimism with programmes to implement, through which the Government of Kosovo will have the potential for the next two years to be the most transparent and open government in the region
