KSF members medalised after returning from first KSF military mission abroad

In this case, Deputy Defence Minister Shemsy Syla shared medals “Taking on international operations” awarded by Defence Minister Armend Mehaj for: Major Mentor Ibrahimi, Captain Kreshnik Haxhiu, Lieutenant Dherim Semseddin, Corporal Hynor Lajqi and soldier Mehmet Mehmeti. And the medals for “Gudenkauf and First Class Sergeant Matthew G. Sanders.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Syla, on behalf of Minister Meheaj, stressed that it has the special honour to welcome the military who made the history of the Republic of Kosovo with the first deployment on peacekeeping mission abroad, along with permanent allies, United States forces.
Today we are all honored to experience this very important moment that will remain a climax that has ever occurred in our military history. This is only the initiative and will continue with other operations wherever we are asked and wherever partner states need our help”, Deputy Minister Syla stressed.
In this case, he thanked the American partners for their contributions to representing the KSF abroad.
Also, KSF members were decorated by KSF Commander Lieutenant General Rundman Rama with the medal for “Unselfish service”, with motivation for its extraordinary contribution to the first peacekeeping operation.
At this ceremony, General Rama praised the decorated KSF members for the successfully carried out mission and for contributing in the name of global peace, stability and security. Also, General Rama thanked the US Army for its support and cooperation so far.
Thanks to our strategic partners, we are now not security consumers, but we also produce it. This was our mission, to contribute as much to global peace”, he stressed.
Also, Gen Rama split the medal for “Self-convincing service” and members of the Iowa National Guard with motivation for extraordinary contributions to co-operation with the KSF contingent in the operation.
At this ceremony, among other things, US Defence attaché Colonel Stephen Rose thanked the KSF team for its extraordinary and professional service during the operation. You've contributed to making the world a safe place. Security comes with peace and prosperity”, Colonel Rose stressed.
The KSF contingent has implemented service under the peacekeeping mission and stability under the Iowa National Guard in the Middle East during the May-October 2021 period.
