Krasniqi: Albin Kurti knows he has poor mayoral candidates

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has claimed that all actions taken by the prime minister, Albin Kurti, have been intended to shift attention from local elections.

Krasniqi, on the show Pressing '%s', has said all this has happened because the Vetevendosje Movement does not have qualified candidates for Kosovo municipalities.

A question I am saying to close is that from the very beginning even in the Kosovo Assembly I have said local elections are once in four years and it is very important to give citizens space to elect their mayors. It seems more flat than the prime minister, being convinced he really has weak candidates and local topics cannot be the success he has had on February 14th. They have taken these actions by doing the opposite of what we proposed, leaving local issues in the background, dealing with topics that at least at this time have been necessary”, Krasniqi has said.
