Kosovo has begun preparations for managing third dose of anti vaccine - CO VID.
While other countries have already begun vaccinating a fraction of the population with the third dose of vaccine, the Ministry of Health told Express that even the inoculation teams in the country are prepared at any time to manage the third dose.
While asked whether citizens with the third dose will be vaccinated during the beginning of next year, the MSH has said it is likely to happen.
“COVID-19, there is no other procedure, so it is a process similar to the application of the first and second dose. The difference is that some countries that are beginning to give out the third dose, this is done by certain groups of people like the elderly, healthcare workers or any other category that has compromised immunity. The vaccination teams are prepared at any time to administer the third dose. Of course, this dosage is probably administered at the time mentioned by you”, the spokesperson for information said.
They have said that the third dose decision will be made at the right time.
Furthermore, it has indicated there will be no problems about securing additional doses of vaccines for managing the third dose.
Kosovo will make the decision at the right time for third dose application, since it has later begun with the vaccine process, while no problems are expected about the doses, since the MS has a contract with Pfizer Company for the purchase of vaccines against COVID-19 and the negotiating team take into account the needs for the vaccine process, they have said.
The start of preparations for giving the vaccine's third dose has come after recommendations by the National Institute of Public Health, following reports that various states, despite vaccinating the vaccine population with two doses, have faced new COVID-19.
In contrast, infection in the country has also supported the vaccine by an extra dose at the time that vaccines are being infected with one or two doses of the vaccine.
We remember that Kosovo so far has managed 1 million and 375 thousand and 295 doses of vaccine.
809 thousand 496 citizens are vaccinated with one dose of vaccine, and 565 thousand 799 with both doses.
