Kosovo with the youngest population in Europe, but youth unemployed

Kosovo is among the countries with the newest population in Europe, but that youth unemployment is very high.

In the first quarter of 2021, young people in Kosovo were twice as likely to be unemployed as adults.

Among 15-24-year-olds and working force, 48.6 % were unemployed

Unemployment is higher in young women (53.5 %) than in young men (46.1%).

But almost a third (29.8) of people aged 15 to 24 in Kosovo were not employed, do not attend schooling or training. That figure is 29.6 % for young women compared to 29.9 % for young men.
