Kosovo Police: Trafficking victims, 59% are children

According to the chief of the central sector for investigating human trafficking, Riza Murati, in an interview for KosovoPress, says 59 %s of these trafficking cases are under 18 years old.

According to Murati, the economic situation, parenting, abandoning schooling are some of the reasons victims are victims of trafficking. He added that victims are usually found in inappropriate sites, such as at night bars, dance clubs, on the streets, but in apartments.

Murati adds that Kosovo police offer victims safe housing and identity protection. Meanwhile, Murati said Kosovo police have organised a director in themselves to face this situation.
