Kosovo journalist presented at The Hague today, newspaper he worked with an explanation

Kosovo journalist Halil Berisha has submitted as a witness at today's trial hearing at the Special Court, where leaders of the KLA War Veterans Organisation, Hysni Gucati and Nasim Haradinaj are being tried. He said he was forced by the Special to appear today to show how and who had offered him confidential documents [...]
A clarification on the issue has been made by Infocus newspaper, where Berisha worked. This paper says journalist Halil Berisha is not a witness against OVL-KLA leaders.
With his work and professionalism, he has defended the KLA values, and in concrete cases leaders of KLA organisations fail to publish the files he had in possession of at a public media conference”, the Infocus explanation is said.
The complete explanation of this medium:
The journalist, Halil Berisha without his will, is presented Tuesday in the trial process of the two KLA OVL leaders, President Hysni Gucati and the deputy head of this organisation, Nasim Haradinaj, in connection with publishing the documents alleged as “documents of the Special Court”.
For the sake of correctness, Infocus newspaper explains that journalist Halil Berisha is not a witness against OVL-KLA leaders. With his work and professionalism, he has defended the KLA values, and in concrete cases leaders of KLA organisations fail to publish the files he had in possession provided at the public news conference.
Halil Berisha, who at the time was editor and journalist at the Infocus Journal, with high professionalism and maximum care has handled all the materials in ownership.
At the same time, in co-ordination with the editorial college, it is decided not to publish any documents, despite public interest, considering that there may be consequences for the parties involved, and also for the OVL-KLA leaders themselves.
Also, we have been careful to save the copy that we had in possession, provided at the OVL-KLA conference, so that it is not distributed and then published by some other party.
So with the utmost care, maintaining the cofidenciency of any sensitive data on those documents, journalist Berisha has carried out the task of highly responsible moral and professional journalist.
In this case, we have decided by being fully aware of the consequences, and we have acted on journalistic principles and legislation.
The newspaper Infocus, has announced even when these documents have been obtained from investigators of The Hague's Specialised Prosecutor's Office.
We have done this considering that a journalist or editorial until it decides that a file is consistent and cannot be accessible to the public then it should not be in the hands of journalists.
The documents Infocus had received because of high sensitivity were stored with greater care, not violating any sensitive information.
