“to increase minimum wage: Unemployment is much higher than appearing”

The chairman of the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo (BSPK), At and Hykoki, told the Online Economy that the number of unemployed is much higher than that presented by the country's institutions.

Weeks ago, the Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transfers said there is an increase of 22,000 new jobs compared to June of the preceding year.

Hykoli said one of the causes of unemployment is not raising the minimum wage.

This evil that the pandemic has brought upon us has also greatly affected the loss of jobs, as many sectors that have been closed have been very unemployed. I don't know the seriousness of the Ministry of Finance for what they've done, we think that in the private sector the number is even bigger because we have statements that don't declare jobs because they have connections between employers and employers. So we're pretty sure that analysis is even worse than it did at the Ministry of Finance”.

“Once again, I realized that this non-communal wage movement is highly discriminated against and normally lacking dignity at work, and unfortunately we have a huge escape of the workforce from our country because people want a life with dignity”, he told EO.
