The U.S.S.A. hears even the Pope, executes the convict who was told to be mentally stuck.

A man from Missouri of the United States has been executed after being convicted of killing three people. Applying the most severe sentence was carried out despite lawyers' calls for suspension, saying the convict was stuck in mental development. Ernest Johnson received a deadly injection Tuesday, after the Supreme Court of the United States refused earlier in the day to review the suspension of the sentence, the BBC writes, broadcast the Express.

Prayers of convicts for easing the sentence had also received support from Pope Francisescu and two members of Congress.

Johnson was found guilty of killing three store employees during a robbery committed in 1994.

The convict's lawyers have claimed that he does not meet the terms for the death penalty, because several intelligence tests have shown that he has a child's mental capacity and still reads as a third grade student.

Johnson was born with fetal alcohol syndrome because his mother had been drinking too much alcohol during pregnancy. He also lacked a fifth of his brain tissue by 2008, after being subjected to a brain tumor removal operation.

A Pope's representative wrote last week to the governor of Missouri, saying Pope “wants to present to you the simple fact of Johnson's humanity and the sanctity of all human life. ”

Johnson had demanded that he be executed by firing squad, but his request was rejected by the Missouri Supreme Court, so the sentence was applied with lethal injections.
