Germany is investigating possible sonic assault on US Embassy

The police statement, in which investigations were reportedly launched as early as August, was issued Friday in response to a report in the renowned German magazine “Der Spiegel”, where the investigation for at least two cases was opened based on evidence handed over by the American Embassy.
About 200 cases of Havana syndrome thus named because the first cases were reported in Havana, the capital of Cuba, in 2016, to date around the world. Incidents like this have been recorded in China, India, and even Washington.
The affected have been mainly diplomats and intelligence officials from the US, although Canada has reported cases at its embassy in Havana, writes The Guardian, broadcast Express newspaper.
Austrian authorities have also said they are working in the United States to investigate several cases among the US Embassy staff in Vienna.
Symptoms include short - term vomiting and migraines and long - term memory loss.
Central Intelligence Agency CIA, State Department and Pentagon are conducting investigations into these cases. About 100 CIA officers reportedly are affected by Havana syndrome.
