The report notes that in the last week, 2.7 million people have resulted in positive results, and another 46 thousand have lost their lives.
It is also known that in recent weeks, cases in regions of Africa and the Western Pacific have been observed the biggest decline, 18 percent and 16 percent respectively.
By contrast, in Europe last week, 1.3 million new cases have been recorded and that cases of COVID-19 have increased in more than half of Europe's countries.
The report notes that cases of COVID-19 in Europe have been on the rise for three weeks and that the region is the only region in the world where cases have increased.
