EULEX mission chief in Kosovo Lars-Gunnar Wigemark has estimated that the situation in northern Kosovo is calm.
Wigemark has said EULEX is continuing increased patrols in Kosovo's north along with KFOR and Kosovo police.
On the other hand, he announced that from tomorrow, he will start implementing the second point of the agreement envisioning placing stick cards on vehicle plates.
“EULEX is continuing to patrol and monitor the situation in northern Kosovo together with NATO and at the request of the Kosovo Police. The situation is stable, and the new poster regime will start on both sides from tomorrow, October 4th,”, has written on Twitter Wigemark.
During yesterday, the first item of the license agreement has been implemented. The first point envisioned the removal of Serb protesters, as well as the replacement of the Special Unit with KFOR troops at the border points in the north.
