Erdogan, a cancer patient? Journalists Give Details, Authorities Speak

Following an article in “Freegn Policy”, whose claims did not appear in any other foreign media, Turkish opposition journalists said Reccep Tayip Erdogan suffers from cancer in the colon, which has never been confirmed by Turkish authorities.
The number two ruling AKP party, Numan Kurtulmuş, dismissed the author's claims, Steven A. Cook, under which Erdogan had an advanced illness that may not allow the country's governance for a long time.
Kurtulmuş stated that this kind of reporting had only one goal: to cause chaos ahead of the 2023 general elections.
“Some want Turkey to take steps back and spark old and forgotten discussions. We are even entering a period when paid writings are published off limits”, he stated.
In fact, such claims on the health of the Turkish president are nothing new.
Since 2012, foreign media have been filled with news that Erdogan was sick with cancer and that he was even subjecting himself to chemotherapy and that he had made an intervention in the intestine. The colon cancer is one of the most aggressive, and its maximum life expectancy at an advanced stage, as Erdogan was supposed to have, is 5 years old.
