Bedfordshire Central Council's defence team sent an email to parents and caregivers in the area of the authorities advising them to be on the alert after hearing reports that children and young are copying games and violence” from Netflix series.
In the program, indebted racers play cash games, but they shoot if they fail. Although many of the games presented in the program require specialized weapons and equipment, some of them are violent versions of games on the playground, such as marbles and withdrawals, which are easy to create by children.
Many children are not watching the show, but are aware of it through viral challenges in TikTok, where social media users post their versions of the games.
Some reports say children have used physical violence at the playground to punish “ ” losers as the replacement of a life-losing player. Particularly popular is the red light, the green light traditionally known as the statue or traces of Grandma in the United Kingdom, in which players try to reach the finish line while game guides are back on their backs. They have to freeze instead every time the grandmother/the upset Kallamar doll comes back.
This month a school in Belgium said children were beating those who moved instead of shooting them, as in the squid game.
