Durmish gives a little help to the Bullics in the field: In November, works will be completed on Pristina Street

At the end of November, works will be completed on Podujevo-Pristina Street. So has Deputy Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure Hysen Durmish, who has announced that some changes have been made to the construction project.

Durmish made it known that underpass construction facilities for vehicles will be replaced by fences, which, according to him, will affect the end of the road becoming faster.

The deputy minister said all changes to be made under the project would be realised within the value of the contract. While they also had a meeting with residents there, they say they did not receive clarifications regarding the project of this road. They face criticism that the ministry did not release land.

“The reason is because, as you know, you know, the Besie-Merdare highway is built, and the moment that highway is completed, it won't have this huge flow of vehicles, because high-weight vehicles and transitors will exploit the highway. Several additional changes have been made, several protective walls added, the construction of the bridge here where we are that it has not been within the framework of the project, and all of this will be realised within the value of the contract that has been the first”, he said.

He said there is also new dynamic plan for development of works on the Podujevo-Pristina road, which said by the end of November it will be completed overall.

“A new dynamic plan for development of works here and by the end of this month, by the end of October, will complete most of the jobs here, the construction of the bridge, complete the two layers of asphalt, and during November it will be worked on the completion of the protective walls, the tomb of martyrs has completed a protective wall and will end the last layer of asphalt and we plan that in late November the technical accession of this road and the way be launched into use. So this segment of the road, this contract by 4.2 kilometers at the end of November, will be completed at a total of”, he said.

Meanwhile, the mayor of the Podujevo municipality, Speedy Bulliqi, said there has been a deadlock on this project until he expressed confidence that this project will now be completed with the new dynamic very soon.

And I think this is going to accelerate this job, and as a project, maybe we'll be able to get through it more quickly. Otherwise I have full confidence that our government and the Ministry of Infrastructure will from now on update all their jobs and commitment so that the process can be completed as soon as possible, because we are seeing that the needs of the citizens are too great for this road. But at the same time, the number of vehicles that circulate daily in this road artery is extremely high, and the need has probably been imminent to complete”, Bulqi said.

Deputy Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure Hysen Durmishi and the chairman of the Podujevo municipality Speedy Bulliqi, have then inspected the works that are being done on the Podujevo-Pristina road.

The road project is being loved by residents, but the same cannot be provided by the ministry. They say land expropriation has not yet been done there.

The resident of this side, Safet Berisha, who has land in this part, said that sometimes they have stopped even the company's work, until they have documents that provide expropriation.

The deputy minister's “asked for a project to give us around and for expropriation, but it didn't give us anything. They said yes, yes, and we didn't get any real information from them. No doubt, but I have 20 gold for drilling, and no letter I've ever received for it. The company's working, sometimes we've had to deal with them too and don't let them work. I've been to the ministry, but nothing has happened... I've asked for the project 20 times, but there's no project”, he said.

Mertion Hyseni from the village of Sibovc said the project was originally underpass and has now been changed.

We've been interested in the project for three years, we've been in the Ministry of Infrastructure, the project has been underpass, we've been waiting for expropriation but not done. Now within a month, it changed the total project, it was made with a circulation. But the deputy minister could not explain the distance between them or where it falls or anything. Today he just came in, didn't leave reporters indoors, nor did he give in for expropriation or for work”, Hyseni told about the media.
