According to foreign media, Telegrafi, the supposedly four-and-a-half-year-old animal was spotted near Pine Junction, south-west of Denver, on Saturday evening and calmed down, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
It was the fourth attempt the wildlife officers had made last week in an effort to capture and help him.
We would have preferred to cut the tire and leave the horns, but the situation was dynamic and we had to remove the tire in any possible way”, Officer Scott Murdoch said.
Murdoch and his officer Dawnson Swanson estimated that the deer was released from about 16kg with the removal of rubber, horns and waste inside the tire.
Swanson and Murdoch were surprised to see his neck in good condition after two years carrying such a tire
