Daut Haradinaj, Pristina's presidential candidate, must be one of the rare candidates to gain such great support during the short period of the election campaign. He, for less than two months, has managed to secure the support of many Pristina citizens, with his daily activities and presentation of the governing programme.
Every day he is in meetings, revealing his programme and talking to citizens about what should be done in Pristina in the new governing mandate. Haradinaj's governing plan presents deep reform for the capital in all sectors, ranging from economy, security, infrastructure, urbanism, welfare and so on.
In the last two days alone, Haradinaj, at meetings with pensioners, representatives of the Islamic Community, as well as Pristina gastronomies, has received strong support in the local election race.
During meetings Haradinaj holds in different categories, he goes very well prepared, recognizing their problems and needs in advance, so he makes the necessary pledges, which provide support to his chairmanship.
By the way, at the Pensioners' Centre, where he met with pensioners' Association officials, Haradinaj pledged before them that all drugs for Pristina pensioners will be free, as well as all will be free from municipal fees.
“Their demands and needs are modest and easily feasible, which does not burden the municipality's” budget, Haradinaj said during this visit.
Also, on the next visit to the Islamic Community of Kosovo, Haradinaj has held concrete conversations with the leaders of this community, for which Haradinaj has given some public pledges. One of these vows has to do with covering expenses in cases of mortar ceremonies worth 500 euros, including a mortar lunch. All these expenses will be covered by the capital budget. Haradinaj has also promised the special establishment of the office for religious communities within the Pristina municipality. Thus, religious representatives will be closer to institutions to convey the sorrows and demands of their followers. The Pristina mayor's candidate has also pledged to make the morgue arrangement at Pristina's cemetery, which is meant to cost about 50,000 euros.
The next important meeting, where Haradinaj has received strong support, is the one with gastronomous, with which Haradinaj has built a extremely friendly report, since he supported them several times publicly, seeking better treatment of them during the pandemic, since they were hit mostly by the measures.
Even in Haradinaj's programme, special favourable measures are presented for gastronomies. One of them is preferential treatment with fresh and meat products and municipal subsidies.
The city will always be open to gastronomers, and together we have fantastic plans that will revive the spirit of Pristina”, Haradinaj wrote.
When a little more than two weeks of campaigning remain, Haradinaj is on track to ensure convincing victories on October 17th. His entire activity is marked by a deep knowledge of the subjects involving the capital, offering the best solutions to the table.
Haradinaj has publicly pledged that he will be bold chairman, who will make quick and effective decisions in the interest of the citizens of the Pristina municipality. A chairman with these characteristics seems more needed than ever in Pristina.
