Confirmed: KEK captured, VV member appointed chief executive

According to Gazeta Metro sources, interviewing candidates for the position of chief executive of the Kosovo Electronic Corporation has become Friday, while today it has also become official that for the position of Executive Chief of the Kosovo Energy Corporation, candidate Nagip Krasniqi has been selected.

Nagip Krasniqi is once a member of the Vetevendosje Movement and leads within this political subject, the Energy Committee sector, and is often seen as being accompanied in meetings and in various activities where energy was spoken, writes Metro newspaper.

Nagip Krasniqi's name has been mentioned many years ago as one of the people who was the target of the investigation by the Economic Crimes Unit, also being part of KEK.

On the other hand, the same sources have told Metro that, in addition, the Vetevendosje Movement has “deledeged” as Dethra's Protector in the Kosovo Electronic Corporation's Legal Office, Milot Podgorica.

From this source they have told Metros that this compounds high-scale nepotism after Milot's father, Rexhep Podvorica, who is already part of KEDS and named at the Iber Lepenci Board, was earlier part of KEK and also in KEK worked as the mother of Milot Podvorica, who has now passed to KOST.

Podvorica had been part of KEK's legal office, while leaving this position with the appointment of political adviser to Health Minister Arben Vitita in the Kurti government 1, but as soon as the government fell, Kurti 1, Padrovica had returned to his position in KEK, to further be advanced as Bridger Dean.

BPD, based on competencies stemming from the Law for Public Enterprises, has announced the competition for KEK Chief Executive Chief (KE). which has been open for a month and is closed by dt: 23.08.2021. In this direction, the BPD as the representative of the shareholder (government) has led an open, transparent and competitive procedure in accordance with the Public Enterprise Law. This process is supported by the British Embassy's foreign partner for recruiting senior leadership positions, conforming the memorandum of co-operation with the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, and being monitored by representatives of BIRN.

In this wake, since KEK is one of the main pillars of economic development in the country and the only company operating with positive balance, as well as with the aim of ensuring competition from as many professional candidates in this field, the BPD and the shareholder, respectively, the economy ministry has extended the invitation to all potential candidates that meet the professional and independence criteria to apply, ensuring that the selection will be done exclusively on the basis of meritocracy. The BDP reports that 34 candidates have applied for the position of KEK Chief Executive Chief. BPD and shareholder have expressed satisfaction that their continued invitation has responded positively to a large number of potential candidates.
