Eugen Cakoli from the Kosovo Democratic Institute has said that the Central Election Commission has no right to announce the final results in the municipality, as, according to him, the legal deadline for complaint has not yet been issued at the Supreme Court.
“The CEC should not and has no right to announce the final results in municipalities where the legal deadline for complaint at the Supreme Court has not yet been issued since PZAP's decision is 24 hours. This, without judging whether there will be a complaint or what its epilogue” might be, Calcoli wrote.
He has said that in the case of Elez Khan, the announcement of results without completing the deadline for complaint violates the candidate's legal security principle.
The decision to announce the results for the chairman of Elez's Hani municipality, without a 24-hour period of complaint, except that the wrong precedent violates the principle of legal security of candidates”, Calcol wrote.
