Voters, who will go to vote on election day, will not be required to testify that they are vaccinated, but that will not be worth the commissioners and observers for which the measures are more rigorous.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has shown what measures should be implemented by voters in order to care for the non-proliferation of Covid-19.
The Central Election Commission will not require voters to testify that they are vaccinated or that they have resulted negative in the test for Individual-19. From voters, the CEC urges implementation of measures that are already known. These measures, which have come as recommendations and advice from health institutions, have been approved by the CEC in guidelines for measures to be implemented by voters and election staff on election day. According to the CEC's direction, voters must maintain 2m physical distance during the time they are standing at the entrance of the polling centre or deployment. Also, voters have to wear their protective mask all the time, except when they have to be identified by the seating council member. Unlike voters, the election staff that will be engaged and policy subject observers will be required to offer evidence that they are vaccinated with one of the vaccine doses or that they have resulted negative in the test for David-19.
The Central Election Commission has been addressed with a special letter to political subjects, which have been certified for participation in the 2021 local elections. Through this letter, political subjects have been announced that the measures approved by the Government of Kosovo are also binding for the Central Election Commission. Therefore, we have asked political subjects to encourage all their nominated, whether as election staff or as observers, to respect these measures. From members of polling councils and observers, it will be required to testify that they have received at least one dose of the vaccine or to have one of the tests for David-19” with them, Elesi said.
The members of the Local Councils (commissionors) and observers will be required to possess at least one of these documents: the certificate of vaccination for full vaccine or taking a dose of vaccine against Ovid-19; the PCR test negative for Covid-19 no older than 72 hours; the evidence that the person has passed on, the positive PCR test, released no less than 21 days and no more than 180 days; or the result of the positive anti-setrics test IgG, released mostly 30 days ago; or the rapid negative antigen test no older than 48 hours.
