American President Joe Biden spoke to former President Bill Clinton on the phone after the last one went to the hospital.
Clinton was admitted to the University of California's intensive care unit on Tuesday for an infection of urinary lesion that spread to her bloodstream, doctors told CNN.
Well, I wanted to see how it was going. He's doing good, he's really fine”, Biden told reporters in Connecticut and added “and he's going out of the hospital. We talked a little bit”.
Beden admitted that he had not seen Clinton “for a long time”, but said he was looking forward to having “come and have lunch. It was very encouraging with the policies that I follow”.
He's not in any kind of trouble. He will leave soon, as I understand. Maybe the day after tomorrow, I don't know exactly”, said Biden.
It is reported that the two men discussed the upcoming election and the governor's close race in Virginia, where Clinton's old friend Terry McAuliffe was running in a subsequent race against the republic approved by Trump, Glen Youngkin.
The former president was in California for a private event and he felt tired. He was admitted to the hospital after testing, according to his office.
Doctors from the former president said urological infections are very common among older people, and they are easily treated, even though they can spread quickly into the bloodstream. Former President Clinton will be given invasive antibiotics by Friday, when he is likely to switch to oral antibiotics. According to them, its vital measurements are all stable.
Clinton has conducted heart surgery in 2004 and had introduced two rings to open an artery in 2010. But his doctors stressed that being in the hospital was not tied up with the heart, or Coddy-19.
