At the order of the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK), today, the Kosovo Police, respectively, the Directorate Against Terrorism following several months' investigation, following additional information and investigation, have conducted raids on several different locations, which resulted in “sequentification of a considerable quantity of weapons, including automatic weapons of various kinds, ammunition, hand grenades, and other equipment”, the prosecution reports.
“This action is in the continuation of actions taken yesterday by the date (10.10.2021) in the Pec region and Prizren, has carried out a successful police operation, which had resulted in the arrest of five (5) suspected persons, as well as the seizure of a significant amount of weapons, explosives and cash. The Special Prosecutor reports that the arrest of suspected persons has been carried out on suspicion of committing criminal acts against the Constitutional Order and Security of the Republic of Kosovo, where they are suspected of criminal acts “preparing for terrorist acts or criminal acts against the Constitutional and Security Order of the Republic of Kosovo” by Article 138 paragraph 1 of KPRK, regarding the criminal work “The chief of terrorist work” from Article 129 paragraph 1 related to Article 31 of KPRK-3-556> reports the prosecutor.
Also suspected of criminal acts “Import, export, supply, transport, production, exchange, mediation or unauthorized weapons or explosive matter “by Article 364 paragraph 2 of KPRK”, “holds in ownership, control or unauthorized possession of weapons, Article 366 paragraph 2 of KPRK<844>.
