In an interview for American television, Saad Aljabri, who had left Saudi Arabia in May 2017 and is living in an exotic in Canada, also said that he was warned by a relative in 2018 after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul that a team of killers was headed for Canada to kill him.
Aljabri told the 60-minute show in CBS that “was warned not to stand near the Saudi mission in Canada. Don't go to the consulate. Don't go to the embassy. ”
Some of the details of the assassination plot have already been reported.
The Saudi government has not commented on Aljabri's claims, but has said in a statement that “Saad Aljabri is a former government official discredited with long history of factories to conceal the financial crimes he committed”:
