But who is Jeffrey M. Havenier?
He is an American foreign service career diplomat who has been part of the United Nations Special Envoy's staff for the status of Kosovo.
Hüvenier is currently deputy head of the US Embassy mission in Ankara, Turkey. He also served at the US Embassy in Berlin, as well as in US missions in Croatia, Greece, Panama, Paraguay and Peru.
In Washington, he has carried out the duty of Director for Central and Southeast European Affairs at the National Security Council and the State Department Bureau for European and Eurasian Affairs responsible for NATO and Central European Affairs.
His nomination must be confirmed by the American Senate.
