The government held a meeting abroad this Friday after declaring an emergency to supply electricity.
In a statement to the media after the meeting, Prime Minister Rama said that tomorrow the plan will be presented to face this situation.
The prime minister stressed that the crisis issue is expected to be in the middle of next year, while added that even after that period the price is not expected to return where it is currently.
“We have had an outside meeting to make a decision to declare emergency in electricity supply. The overall energy price increase situation gives the government the opportunity to intervene with financial instruments, either with instruments of administrative nature. Today, with this decision we also yield to further execution of the special plan to face this situation, and the plan will be public tomorrow. It's a very similar situation in terms of a blow to the pandemic situation, in that sense everyone is affected. Unlike pandemics, different countries have different characteristics. Experts think the crisis will be present at its peak by mid-year. Even after the peak, the prices will not return to their former location. What belongs to us is to protect our customers”, Rama said. /A2/
