Former AKI agent arrested: Suspected to disclose information that jeopardised Kosovo's security

Pristina's Constitutional Prosecutor has announced that she has arrested a former AKI employee with initials M. K, under the suspicion that he has discovered information that has endangered the safety of the country. Through a communiqué to the media, the Prosecutor has suggested that he is suspected of misuse of official position or authority, misuse of official information, access to computer systems, detecting classified information, and not preserving classified information and photographing other unauthorized records.

“ ... today has been arrested and detaining the person with the M.K. initials, the former AKI employee, because there is a suspicion that the same person, in the quality of the official person, has acted with suspicious motives, misusing official position and revealing classified information, so with these acts allegedly the upper person has violated the security of the Republic of Kosovo (4)x1>, the report says.

Pristina, October 21st 2021, the State Prosecutor's Office in Pristina reports the public opinion that the RS Department of Criminals, namely, the Economic Crime and Corruption Unit, with the decision of the state prosecutor, has banned in 48 hours the person with the M.K. initials, due to the suspicion that the same criminal acts have been committed “KEqusion of official position or authority”, <2>KEK information usage”, <x> Entering computer systems <5>, <x> <6> Photo and other unauthorized recordings”, preceded according to the Penal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.

Following a co-operation between AKI and the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina, as well as in co-ordination with the Kosovo Police, today the man has been arrested and detained with M.K. initials, the former AKI employee, as there is suspicion that the same one, in the quality of the official person, has acted with questionable motives, misusing official position and revealing classified information, so with these acts allegedly the upper person has violated the security of the Republic of Kosovo.

So the same, we inform you that further procedural actions will be taken.
