The general audience, Vlora Spanca, has asked Kosovo's Assembly to write off its salary of about 3 thousand 800 euros with additions to 2 thousand and 800 euros or 12,000 euros annually.
The demand for the pay assignment for the General Auditor, considered at the Commission for Business, Work and Transfer, has been assessed by opposition deputies as positive, but criticised the government that is not adopting the Law on Salaries, which, according to them, regulates the salaries of all employees in the public sector.
With the commission chairman's proposal, Armend Muja has been delayed approval of the audience's request, Spain until next week, when a salary analysis for similar institutions like ZKA has taken place.
Because of economic circumstances I thought that my salary would be fair to be lower and proportional to Constitutional Court Chairman's salary”, Spanca said during submitting the application to this parliamentary commission.
During the report, Spain said that with the new position taken, it has been decided to cut salaries for several positions, until the position of media adviser has expired.
VV MP Eman Nthmani has praised the general audience for its request in terms of pay cuts.
The high wage that has so far been for this position has indeed been a high salary”, he said.
As for this demand for high wages, concern over this came from the MP, Mergim Lushtaku from the PDK, calling for the adoption of the wage law, which he said regulates this area.
MP Avdullah Hoti from the LDK has demanded that auditor's salaries not be lowered, in addition to lowering the pay of the general audience, for which he said it must be a pay reform at the Constitutional Court.
MP Pal Lekaj from the AAK stressed that it is a good example when public officials seek pay cuts, while adding that the draft salary law that lies in the government's drawers regulates the issue but needs to be approved.
With an individual we can do nothing. But the government must pass the wage law as soon as possible. This is a good practice by the audience, but in general there should be an equality between sectors and positions”, he said.
Responding to the chairman of the commission, Armendi Muja for RTK auditing, Spanca has said that from now on he will also audit RTK's financial mirrors.
For this, MP Paul Lekaj has reacted, who said no pressure should be put on public broadcasters.
