More than 41,000 citizens vote for the first time in municipal elections

The number of new voters, who will vote for the first time, is: 41 thousand and 12 voters, of whom 24 thousand and 697 have reached 18 years of age after February 14th 2021 and 8 thousand and 937 voters who can be considered registered for the first time in the central civil registry after the last parliamentary elections”, are said to be on the final voter list inside and outside Kosovo of the CEC.
According to the CEC, the number of citizens justly voting within Kosovo is 1 million and 885 thousand and 448 voters, or 90 thousand and 586 more voters, compared to the early elections for the Kosovo Assembly that were held on February 14th 2021.
The Central Election Commission has demanded that local election commissioners and observers be vaccinated or have evidence that they are negative in the coronary or that they have overcome the disease, COVID-19, which causes the virus.
But this rule will not apply to voters, CEC officials have said.
Citizens will be required to wear protective masks and physical distance. /rel/
