Benitamou, a Panamese-flagged ship of 299m long, crashed into Vanessa, a 172m-long Barbados flagship at the northwest province's Tekirdağy district for still unknown reasons, according to the Anadolu Agency (AA).
After the event, captain of the vessels reported the situation near the crews of the Coast Safety Directorate, reports the TCH.
Remotives were sent to the region to ensure security.
As reported, the accident has caused no environmental casualties and pollution while an investigation has begun.
