After being declared dead by a court of law, Pushey has spent three years trying to revive himself officially.

The 58-year-old Saint-Joseph, near Lyon, did not exist in the eyes of the 2017 French administration, following a long legal process involving a former employee in her cleaning company.

I went to see a lawyer who told me that this case would be resolved soon because I had met the doctor who certified that I was alive. But because there had been a [legal] decision, this was enough,” told local journalists, the Guardian reports, Periscope follows.

Her lawyer, Sylvia Cormier, was surprised at her prolonged death. It's a crazy story. I couldn't believe it. I never thought a judge could declare someone dead without a certificate. But the plaintiff claimed that Mrs. Pushey was dead without offering any evidence and everyone believed that. No one verified,” he told the AFP.

The decision by the appellate Court in Lyon for the late Pushain announcement came in November 2017, after a decade of legal battles with its former unhappy employee.

An industrial tributal had in 2004 ordered Pushain to pay former staff member 14 thousand euros in compensation. Since the case was against her company rather than against Pushey personally, the decision did not go into effect. In 2009, the worker had again indicted, but the case was rejected.

In 2016, believing that she was dead, the appeals court had ordered her son and her husband to pay the compensation. The following year, the worker had informed the industrial tribunal that the letters sent to the former boss were not being answered and that she was dead. Pushain was removed from official records, making identity cards, driving permits, credit cards, health insurance, and other official documents necessary to prove the existence.

While her lawyer demanded this week that she be officially resurrected, Pushei accused her former employee of inventing her death in an attempt to win the case.

I don't have ID papers, health insurance, I can't prove to banks that I'm alive... I'm nothing. /Periscope
