The Kosovo rapporteur in the European Parliament, Violet von Cremon, hopes that in 2021 the European Union will liberalise visas for Kosovars.
German politician has spoken of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue process facilitated by Brussels.
She hopes that with President Joe Biden ruling democrats in America, Europe will find the missing partner for almost four years as strong as Donald Trump.
“I hope we'll talk in one voice that Washington will have more support than in the three and a half years we spent. I think we'll have people coming from the Department of State and the White House who understand dialogue and the region better than the administration that's going”, Von Croamon told Klan Kosova.
Meanwhile, there is much confusion and political position as to what the final outcome of Kosovo's talks will be.
The rapporteur himself says he is taught to have agreements that both sides agree to compromise and that Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, sees him as the person who did the job in this respect on the part of Belgrade.
“President Vuciq, there is strong majority in Parliament. He considers himself a strong president and I don't understand why he would not be able to find the opportunity for an agreement with Kosovo. I don't see any other options and things can't fit better than now. We have to work with those in power, and I'm pretty optimistic that we're going to find solutions”, Violet Von Croamon concluded.
