Peci in one interview said that Kurti, when convicted on parole two and a half years ago, was in force of another Penal Code.
The CEC has not certified Kurti and 46 other candidates from all parties for the upcoming elections, with the argument that in the past three years, they have firm form sentences, given the latest Constitutional Act.
“Not all legal and complaining options have been exhausted. In principle, I think the Constitutional decision has gone beyond the interest in what was the subject. Second, Kurti sıka after prison sentences, there is after bail, the Penal Code has changed, on the basis of this, a principle that the retroactive effect applies only when it is in favour of the party, so the conditional sentence does not apply in this case”, Peci said in interactive.
Peci is on the VV list as part of the Vjosa Osman Civic Initiative.
