Ulcinj municipality officials arrested yesterday will be protected in freedom

Police have not yet officially announced the case, but Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic, in his earlier Twitter account, confirmed the information on the officials' arrest.
“Mayor Ulcinj and local branch of the Democratic Party of Socialists has been arrested, along with several other officials. The reason: party employment”, Abazovic said, to add that the government “is committed to ending all abuses”.
Police have also questioned Ulcinj municipality Finance Secretary Sead Osmanovic, the Secretary of Community and Environmental Protection, Mustafa Gorana, Defence and Rescue Service Director Saubi Mehmeti, and Communist Police Secretary Milazim Mustafa.
Since the local elections of 2018, power in Ulcinj holds a coalition led by the Democratic Party of Socialists.
As a result of parliamentary elections that were held in late August, Montenegro's new government was formed on December 4th and is led by the former opposition, the Democratic Front, Democrats and the URA Civic Movement, respectively.
The Democratic Party of Socialists has emerged in opposition after three decades in power.
