The president has reportedly been in a very bad mood since his arrival in Mar-a-Lago, where he was expected to spend his New Year's Eve.
It is not clear what prompted this sudden change of plans by the president, writes Guardian, explains Periscope.
He refused to answer journalists ' questions.
But a few hours before the White House announced that Trump would pass New Year's Eve in Washington, Republican Senator Josh Hawley from Missouri announced that he would reject the outcome of the electoral college when Congress met on January 6th to confirm Biden as the winner of the November 2019 presidential election.
Trump has urged his most loyal supporters in Congress to also install the latest intervention in the House of Representatives to return the election outcome to him.
The effort to keep Trump in power is destined to fail, but will test republican loyalty to the president. /Periscope
