Republican leader in Senate Mitch McConnell said today he will propose delaying the start of the trial for Donald Trump for February. The House of Representatives acted quickly on raising charges, but the Senate seems to need time to prepare for a full trial.
“Mitch McConnell wants to give Trump's team two weeks to prepare their case” said one source, writes CNN.
House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Thursday she would consult with other democratic lawmakers to understand more than the Senate is ready to start trial against former President Donald Trump, who is accused of inciting violent attack on the Capitol.
