The Central Election Commission has already accepted seven applications to vote from the Netherlands' Hague.
Former President Hashim Thaci, the two former deputy officers, Kadri Veselin and Jakup Krasniqi, former President Rexhep Selimi, along with Salih Mustaf and KLA OVL leaders, Hysni Gucati and Nasim Haradinaj, who are being held in custody since they are charged by the Special APUs have submitted applications to give the vote in the 14 February elections.
From the CEC, they have thanked the Kosovo Embassy in the Netherlands, as well as administrative staff of the Specialised Chambers for helping with these applications.
The Special Court voiced reservations to provide details for the assistance offered to enable the upper ones to vote.
Kosovo's “Specialised Chambers, within the proper legal framework, are providing assistance to the detainees for them to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections. Because of privacy we can't provide any information on the specific demands of the detainees” is said in the response of spokeswoman Angela Greep.
Lawyer Taulant Hodaj has indicated how the vote of defendants who are former Kosovo Liberation Army superiors will take place.
According to him, their vote is like the diaspora and is conducted on the specific order of the pre-procedure judge.
